Before Troubleshooting
Always make sure you're running the latest version of Presenza. Updates often fix known issues.
Discord Rich Presence Not Showing
Symptoms: Presence doesn't appear in Discord, Status shows 'Playing a game' but no custom presence
Solutions
- Make sure Discord is running and you're logged in
- Check that 'Display current activity as a status message' is enabled in Discord Settings → Activity Status
- Verify Presenza is connected (green indicator in the status bar)
- Try clicking 'Reconnect' in Presenza
- Restart both Presenza and Discord
Images Not Displaying
Symptoms: Assets show as default Discord icons, Large/small image is blank
Solutions
- Ensure your images meet the requirements: JPG/PNG, max 128KB for app assets
- For app assets, the image must be uploaded to your Discord Developer Application
- Check that the Application ID matches your registered app
- For local images, ensure the file path is correct and accessible
- Try re-uploading the image to Discord
Timestamps Aren't Working
Symptoms: Elapsed time not showing, Timestamp stuck at wrong time
Solutions
- Confirm 'Include Timestamps' is enabled in your presence settings
- Check that your system clock is accurate
- For elapsed time: use start timestamp only
- For countdown: set both start and end timestamps
- Discord caches timestamps — try toggling presence off and on
Presence Updates Are Delayed
Symptoms: Changes take a long time to appear, Discord doesn't reflect updates
Solutions
- The minimum update interval is 15 seconds per Discord's API
- Check if Auto Rotation is enabled with a long interval
- Try clicking 'Force Update' to push changes immediately
- Close other applications that might be interfering
App Won't Start or Crashes
Symptoms: Application doesn't launch, Crashes on startup or randomly
Solutions
- Make sure you meet the system requirements (Windows 10 or later)
- Run Presenza as Administrator (right-click → Run as administrator)
- Check Windows Event Viewer for error logs
- Try reinstalling the application
- Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date
Auto Rotation Not Working
Symptoms: Presets don't switch automatically, Rotation stops unexpectedly
Solutions
- Verify you have at least 2 presets saved
- Confirm Auto Rotate is toggled ON
- Check that the interval isn't set too long
- Ensure Presenza is running in the background (not minimized to tray)
- Pause on Idle feature may be active — check your idle settings
